Visit Our New Mural!

On July 17th, 2019 Chairs for Affairs Party Rentals was very proud to host a ribbon-cutting ceremony lead by Melbourne Mayor Kathy Meehan for their new mural “Flamingo in Flight”. The free community event was an opportunity for guests to “flamingle” and sample foods from many area restaurants and caterers, along with entertainment by Greg Vadimsky and Antonio Gagliardi of We Love 2 Party Entertainment.

The colorful “Flamingo in Flight” mural was created by local artist Cody B. Monahan and stars a pineapple-hat-wearing flamingo flying by several local landmarks and symbols.  With dimensions of 22′ X 140″, it is the county’s largest mural to date.  “We love all the local murals and wanted to do something to beautify the local area where we have conducted business for over 20 years.  We hope “Flamingo in Flight” will be a way to help revitalize North Babcock Street, which was once the major thoroughfare in Melbourne, said Chairs for Affairs Owner Cathy Schirmer. “We love this area we live and work in, and want to use the power of public art to show everyone else how great it is.”

The new mural has gotten lots of attention as has become a photo hot spot!  We encourage everyone to come out to see the mural and take a photo.  Please tag us @chairsforaffairsfl
